The Ohio State football program had a consensus top-five class in the country for 2022 and was considered the No. 1 class in the Big Ten by a wide margin. The receiving 2022 offensive line is not short on star power, but one young gun may see action sooner rather than later.
It should be noted for those that are not familiar, recruiting classes are not like NFL draft classes. Many of these players will not see time as freshmen and will likely be redshirted. It’s also true that in the age of the transfer portal it is likely several players from this class will not be here at the end.
I wanted to at least take a dive into some of the top studs and we’ll start at the top of the recruiting class with interior offensive lineman, Carson Hinzman and we have already previously dived into C.J. Hicks, Devin Brown, Kenyatta Jackson, Omari Abor, Kaleb Brown, Kyion Grayes, Gabe Powers, Tegra Tshabola, Caleb Burton and Kojo Antwi.

Height: 6-foot, 4-inches
Weight: 280-pounds
Four-Star Interior Offensive Lineman
Carson Hinzman is likely going to stick to the interior at either guard or center, but he does have experience at even tackle and has the traits to excel there if needed. He has a great frame and great length to go with the quick feet needed to keep defenders at bay.
Hinzman has the makings of a future star, but like many top-notch Ohio State linemen, may not be appropriately valued until he leaves. He’s not going to pack a highlight real full of pancakes, but he is going to do his job at an exceptional level and it would not be shocking for him to become an All-American.
Weaknesses
