Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, the Giants’ second round selection from the University of Kentucky, today signed his first NFL contract. Rookies are set to report for training camp on Tuesday, a week before the veterans join them at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.
In three college seasons β two at Nebraska and one at Kentucky β Robinson played in 31 games with 24 starts and caught 195 passes for 2,248 yards (11.5-yard avg.) and 10 touchdowns. He added 141 rushing attempts for 691 yards and four touchdowns.
In his only season at Kentucky in 2021, Robinson set career highs with a school-record 104 receptions, 1,334 yards and seven touchdowns, ranking fourth nationally and second in the SEC in receptions per game (8.0). He became the sixth player in SEC history to catch at least 100 passes in a season and had six 100-yard games, good for second on UK’s single-season list. He joined Randall Cobb as the only players in school history with multiple games of at least 12 receptions. Robinson finished his career as MVP of the Vrbo Citrus Bowl after setting Kentucky bowl records with 10 receptions for 170 yards vs. Iowa.
