July 19 was the second day of SEC media days. On Tuesday, coaches and players from Alabama, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt all spoke with the media.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban spoke to reporters about the current state of college football. It has been an eventful offseason of college football. Nick Saban and Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher got in a big dispute earlier this offseason. Three of Alabama’s top players all interviewed with reporters ahead of the upcoming season.
The Crimson Tide are preseason SEC favorites. Alabama returns a superstar duo in quarterback Bryce Young and edge rusher Will Anderson. Can Alabama return to the top of college football?
Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach also interviewed on the second day of SEC media days. Leach has a unique personality that matches his coaching style.
South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer may be helping turn the Gamecocks’ program around. Beamer landed some talented transfers this offseason and is turning heads across the conference.
Additionally, Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea interviewed with reporters. Vanderbilt is trying to improve after a rough 2021 college football season.
