Kenny Golladay's contested catches highlight Wednesday's practice

With that said, here are the top plays from today’s practice:

*While the Giants ran 9-on-7 run drills in one spot, receivers and defensive backs competed 1-on-1 on an adjacent field with quarterbacks rotating between both groups. The highlight of the latter was a long touchdown pass from Daniel Jones to wide receiver Kenny Golladay, who kept the momentum going throughout the day.

*Tyrod Taylor also threw a long touchdown to Darius Slayton during this period. The veteran quarterback spoke after practice about his prior relationship with the receiver as the two have trained together for years in Georgia.

“This year it made sense to get with even more with us being on the same team and speaking the same language,” Taylor said. “We’ve definitely gotten a chance to connect on a few balls throughout camp, and I’m looking forward just to continuing to keep building that chemistry. I have all the trust in him as well as the other guys in that wide receiver room to go out and make plays. He’s done a good job of doing that.”

*Davis Webb also got on the board with a touchdown to wide receiver Kadarius Toney, a matchup made possible with Jones working with the first team in the 9-on-7 drills at the time. Webb also ended practice with a perfect pass to wide receiver Keelan Doss, who made a great catch in the corner of the end zone.

*Saquon Barkley broke a long touchdown run. Fellow running back Matt Breida also scored on a long catch-and-run, aided by an Alex Bachman block that cleared the final defender.
