Following practice, quarterback Josh Allen also gave a huge shoutout to the training camp staff. From the cafeteria workers who provided fantastic food to the security team who made everyone feel safe on campus, Allen is grateful for the hospitality that St. John Fisher provided to the team.

“It’s top-notch over here,” Allen said. “It was a good time. Staying in the dorms and getting to know guys better and developing that team camaraderie, I think it’s definitely necessary and it’s going to pay dividends in the season.”

With another Bills training camp in the books, both McDermott and Allen would love to come back next year for camp.

“I think it’s great for our organization in a lot of ways and it’s a first-class operation up here,” McDermott said. “We’re treated the right way and it’s a chance also for us to connect with our fans around this area as well.”

Added Allen, “It’s an awesome atmosphere to be around, especially when you have the type of guys that we have in our locker room, guys that genuinely love and care about each other.”
