There aren’t many out there as high on the Spartans entering the 2022 season as RJ Young of FOX Sports.
Young released his preseason top 25 rankings on Sunday, which saw the Spartans as the second-highest team in the Big Ten. Michigan State landed at No. 7 in his preseason rankings, behind only Ohio State from the Big Ten at No. 2.
Other Big Ten teams that were ranked included, Iowa (No. 16), Minnesota (No. 22) and Wisconsin (No. 24). As you can now see, Young controversially left the Wolverines off his preseason top 25 — which isn’t out of the norm for Young who likes to ruffle some feathers with things like this.
