What was initially a third, final and boring preseason game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams seems quite a bit more interesting after the events in the days leading up to it.
Events, meaning that practice-ending fight between the Bengals and Rams, which featured Aaron Donald dual-wielding helmets and swinging them at Bengals players.
If nothing else, that’s better than nothing—the game doesn’t figure to feature any starters. Both teams used the joint practice sessions as “game reps” instead of risking theirs starters before Week 1. Cincinnati will settle the battle at left guard and fringe roster spots, but that’s about it.
