EAGAN, Minn. – The Vikings have added a quarterback to their practice squad.
Minnesota signed former Lions QB David Blough, the team announced Friday.
Blough spent the past three seasons in Detroit but did not make the Lions final 53-man roster when cuts occurred this week.
Blough initially was signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2019 but was traded to the Lions.
In November 2019 after injuries to Matthew Stafford and backup quarterback Jeff Driskel, Blough was named the Lions starting quarterback; he made his first NFL start against the Bears on Thanksgiving Day. The following week, he started against Minnesota at U.S. Bank Stadium. Danielle Hunter recorded 3.0 sacks of Blough that afternoon, becoming the youngest player in league history to record 50 QB takedowns.
