It is now or never for Auburn’s offense.
The unit has largely struggled through the first three games of the season and it is now time to start SEC play. Thankfully they will be facing the Missouri Tigers who are also 2-1 and face their own questions.
Coming off a 41-12 loss to Penn State this is a massive game for Auburn who will reportedly be without quarterbacks T.J. Finley and Zach Calzada. This puts even more pressure on the offense and Robby Ashford, who is expected to make his first collegiate start Saturday.
Here are five things the offense should do in their first SEC game of the season.
Give Tank Bigsby the ball

Bigsby is Auburn’s best player and more often than not is the best player on the field. The coaching staff has not given him nearly enough touches through the first three weeks of the season.
He has made the most of his touches but for Auburn to have success offensively Saturday they need to give him the ball early and often.
Target Ja’Varrius Johnson in the passing game

When Auburn is not running the ball they need to target their best receiver and Johnson is clearly that. He is Auburn’s only proven playmaker in the passing game and has the ability to make life easier for Ashford.
He has already shown the ability to connect with Johnson on a deep shot and the coaching staff should try to replicate that against Missouri.
Get Robby Ashford comfortable

Ashford has shown his potential this season but has also shown his limitations, with two interceptions on 29 pass attempts. Without Finley and Calzada he is Auburn’s most experienced quarterback and they can not afford for him to have a bad game.
