The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ late comeback bid against the Green Bay Packers fell short Sunday, thanks to a strange sequence that included a late touchdown in the final seconds, and a delay of game penalty that ultimately led to a failed two-point conversion that would have tied the game.
Not only did the Bucs have to back up five yards for the biggest play of the game, but they also might have accidently given away some valuable information about their plans for that play, thanks to their in-house video screen.
This postgame exchange between Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Fox Sports reporter Tom Rinaldi seems to indicate that was the case:
It’s unclear what information Rodgers is talking about here, but the end result was an incomplete pass that sealed Tampa Bay’s first loss of the season.
