The Los Angeles Chargers elevated Foster Sarell off the practice squad and the offensive tackle made his NFL debut off the bench in a 19-16 Monday night overtime victory over Denver. He became the 26th Stanford alum to play in the NFL this season. He played on all of the Chargers’ field goal and point-after snaps, including the 39-yard winner by Dustin Hopkins in overtime. In the same game, Cameron Fleming started at offensive right tackle for the Broncos and led the team’s linemen in run blocking (80.0) and pass blocking (78.1) grades by Pro Football Focus.

Washington defensive end Casey Toohill had three tackles in the Commanders’ 12-7 Thursday night victory in Chicago, including a touchdown-saving push out of bounds of running back Khalil Herbert at the 6-yard line after a 64-yard gain. The Bears would turn the ball over on downs at the 1 – making Toohill’s tackle vital in Washington’s victory. Toohill played 25 snaps on defense and two on special teams and had a 74.4 tackling grade by Pro Football Focus.
