TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona quarterback Jayden de Laura joins 12 additions to the Manning Award Watch List, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, Friday.
 
De Laura earns the first Manning Award Watch List selection of his collegiate career. His other accolades through seven games this season include Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week following the Week-1 win over San Diego State, and Manning Award Star of the Week after completing 33 of 46 attempts for 484 passing yards and six touchdown passes against Colorado on Oct. 1. He also earned Davey O’Brien Great 8 quarterback of the week for the effort against the Buffaloes. 
 
The sophomore from Honolulu is second in the Pac-12 in passing yards per game (324.9), tied for second in passing touchdowns (19), and has thrown for the second-most passing yards in the conference (2,274).

De Laura has completed 63.3% (174-275) of his passes and posted a 74.7 QBR, alongside 71 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. He passed for 400 yards and four touchdowns in his most recent game at Washington (10/15). De Laura has recorded three 400-plus passing-yard games, all three of which have come in his last four games.

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates’ bowl performances…
