Currently head coach at Incarnate Word (San Antonio, TX), Kinne is a name that might be familiar to Rutgers fans as he spent time in the NFL with the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles as well as the New York Giants.
A former college quarterback at Tulsa, Kinne had a strong career that included being named the NFLPA Bowl MVP in 2012.
He has Incarnate Word, an FCS program at 9-1. He was an offensive coordinator with Central Florida and Hawaii and also spent some time in the NFL as an assistant. That’s a couple of good landing spots to learn offense.
He doesn’t have ties to Rutgers or head coach Greg Schiano but this son of a former high school coach in Texas has the pedigree to be a big splash hire.
