Cameron Dantzler Placed on IR

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Saturday announced they have placed cornerback Cameron Dantzler, Sr., on Injured Reserve because of an ankle injury he suffered last week at Washington.

Dantzler had already been ruled out for tomorrow’s Week 10 game at Buffalo (6-2).

The third-year pro has started all eight games this season, helping Minnesota go 7-1 to open the 2022 campaign and win six games in a row. Dantzler’s most memorable play so far this season was forcing and recovering a fumble by former teammate Ihmir Smith-Marsette to finish off the Bears in Week 5.

Dantzler has progressed in his third season with help from the tutelage of veteran Patrick Peterson, recording 45 tackles, two for loss and four passes defended this season. He must be on Injured Reserve for at least four games.
