COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the third time this season, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.
Stroud earned the honor after leading the Buckeyes to a 56-14 win over Indiana on Saturday at Ohio Stadium. He completed 17-of-28 passes for 297 yards with five touchdowns to four different receivers. Three of those scores came in the second half, with his final one going to WR Kameryn Babb, a team captain who has overcome five knee injuries throughout his career.

Stroud ranks in the top five nationally in five different statistical categories and is the nation’s leader in two: pass efficiency (188.2) and touchdowns (34). He’s second in yards per attempt (9.92), third in passes of 30-plus yards (21) and fifth in yards per completion (14.78). Stroud’s performance on Saturday was the fifth time this season that he’s finished with at least 250 yards and four touchdowns in a game.
Additionally, Stroud also became the first quarterback in the history of the Big Ten Conference to have consecutive seasons of at least 30 touchdown passes. He had 44 touchdown passes in 2021.
Ohio State, which improved to 10-0 last Saturday, plays its final regular season road game when it heads to College Park, Md. to face Maryland on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ABC will broadcast the game to a national audience.
