The Volunteers (10-2, 6-2 SEC) are one of five programs who own multiple victories over current CFP top 15 teams. UT beat current No. 6 Alabama, 52-49, and dominated current No. 14 LSU, 40-13, in Baton Rouge. Both of the Vols’ losses occurred to teams currently ranked in the top 20.
The final College Football Playoff Rankings will be announced on Sunday, a day that Tennessee will learn of its bowl destination.
