Two days, two receivers from the Iowa Hawkeyes hitting the transfer portal. While it stings, it is also the new era of college football and something fans should get themselves accustomed to.
Following the departure of Keagan Johnson yesterday, fellow wide receiver Arland Bruce IV has announced that he will be entering the transfer portal and looking for a new program to call home.

Arland Bruce IV was a four star recruit coming out of Ankeny High School in Olathe, Kansas before joining the Iowa program.
Bruce IV was a versatile weapon for the Hawkeyes. The wide receiver contributed in a myriad of ways during his two seasons with the program. In his career he contributed 44 receptions for 396 yards to go with a pair of touchdowns along with 22 rushes for 112 yards and four more touchdowns. He was also Iowa’s main punt returner this season contributing 19 returns for 123 yards.
A landing spot to keep an eye on for Bruce IV will be Kansas State. The Wildcats are located in Manhattan, KS, less than two hours west of his hometown. Others to keep an eye on are Iowa State and Kansas, each relatively local schools that had an interest in him coming out of high school.
The transfer portal see departures but as we saw yesterday, it can bring in great additions to programs. The Hawkeyes addition came in the form of adding quarterback Cade McNamara which is likely to have a domino effect of some form in the Hawkeyes rebuilding their wide receiver room.
