DURHAM – New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones highlighted the nine former Blue Devils that appeared in the 17th week of play in the National Football League.
In East Rutherford, N.J., Jones accounted for four total touchdowns, two on the ground and two through the air, as the New York Giants defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 38-10, to clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2016. The former Blue Devils’ quarterback rushed 11 times for 91 yards, while finishing 19-of-24 passing for 177 yards.
In Inglewood, Calif., the Los Angeles Chargers also clinched a spot in the playoffs after defeating the Los Angeles Rams, 31-10. The former Blue Devils defensive end Chris Rumph II appeared in the game on Sunday and became the third Duke player this season to make the NFL postseason.
