Virginia transfer WR to visit Nebraska

Virginia transfer wide receiver Billy Kemp IV will visit Nebraska this weekend, according to On3’s Sean Callahan.

Kemp entered the transfer portal after a successful run at Virginia. He joined the program in 2018 and has been a vital piece of their offense. Kemp is fourth all-time on Virginia’s career receptions list (192). His best season came in 2021, when he had 74 receptions for 725 yards and six touchdowns, en route to being a Third-Team All-ACC selection.

Kemp spoke to Callahan about his desired role:

“I played a lot of slot, but looking at my film, I can do everything. I can play outside and line up at running back. I am fast and twitchy, and I have pretty good hands. I feel like I’m just an all-around good player. I’m looking to go somewhere that I can be the man.”

Kemp would be a major addition for the Cornhuskers, who are losing leading-receiver Trey Palmer. Kemp would give the team an experienced, proven wide receiver.

Here are some of Kemp’s top plays during his college career, thus far.
