CB Patrick Peterson on returning to Vikings this season and making it to the postseason:
“It’s very rewarding to see all the hard work pay off. Especially with the talent, the leadership, that we had in this locker room the year before – we just knew it was very promising. It was no doubt in my mind that we would be in this position right here if we had the right guy leading this group. We’re family. [General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah] did a great job of picking the right guy in K.O. (O’Connell) – made us better in every facet of the game. Situational, special teams, offense being pretty much unstoppable, as of right now. So yeah, I was just very, very happy not only for myself but for the guys. Because we’ve got a lot of young guys who have never tasted this type of success. I just want those guys to continue to relish this moment, give us everything you’ve got, and we’ll see what happens at the end of the year.”
WR Adam Thielen on approach to playoff game versus regular season:
“The feeling is different, but as far as the process, the process is the exact same. Which I think the coaches have done a great job, the players in his locker room have done a great job, of not making it bigger than it is. We know it’s win-or-go-home; we have that in the back of our heads. But again, the process is what’s important. I think where that starts is actually doing it, not just saying it, throughout the season. Trusting the process whether we win, we lose, a big win or a bad loss. The same process week-in and week-out, I think that kind of carries on to the playoffs. Again, the coaching staff that we have and the players have done a great job so far with that.”
