GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The coaching carousel once dominated the college football offseason. Coaches on the move will always garner headlines, but in this new era, players eat up more of the offseason news cycle than ever before due to the transfer portal and name, image and likeness (NIL) talks.

Hence, there is always something going to keep college football in the news. Here are some items of interest to Gators fans this morning:

 

— If you have kept tabs on the saga surrounding quarterback signee Jaden Rashada, you know the drama of the last week. If not, the most relevant part is that Rashada has asked to be released from his UF scholarship according to multiple reports. Here is a report from G.
