Nebraska in the Super Bowl: Dicaprio Bootle

For the second straight Super Bowl, the AFC Champion has a lone Cornhusker on their roster. Dicaprio Bootle will join the Kansas City Chiefs in their quest to be NFL Champions on Sunday evening from Glendale, Arizona.

According to ESPN, Bootle was a top-60 cornerback coming out of high school. He received numerous scholarship offers but only made an official visit to Nebraska. Throughout his four-year career, he appeared in 44 games, making 110 career tackles and one interception.

He would go unselected in the 2021 NFL Draft and be signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs would cut the CB in training camp but would sign him to the practice squad.

He would make his professional debut in week four of that year against the Philadelphia Eagles and would be reelevated in week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He has since signed a reserve/future contract with the organization and remains on their practice squad.
