Wisconsin’s new running backs coach has high hopes for the group

Wisconsin’s new running backs coach Devon Spalding holds his group to a high standard, but it comes with good reason.

The Badgers have long had one of the top running back rooms in the country, and Spalding is excited to continue that tradition. Led by Braelon Allen and Chez Mellusi, all signs point towards Wisconsin having one of the best running back rooms yet again in 2023.

“We don’t want one guy who is the best in conference, one guy that is the best in the country…when people talk about the running back room at Wisconsin, we want them to say that they have the best unit in the country, overall, at any position,” Spalding told the media on Tuesday.
