Over the past few season, Minnesota Vikings have dealt with injuries to running back Dalvin Cook’s shoulder and they caused him to miss multiple games.
This February, Cook had surgery to finally repair the shoulder and early reports on his recovery are good according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The key words that Pelissero used after his trip to Minnesota were “100% stable and stronger.”
The timing of this is interesting. The Vikings did sign Alexander Mattison to a new contract with nearly $7 million guaranteed and that seemed to mean the end of Cook in Minnesota. Him still being on the team was interesting, but it appears on the surface that they are waiting for the opportunity to trade him and this report surfacing from Pelissero is a signal of that.
This will be something to keep an eye on moving forward.
