Buffalo Bills select OL Nick Broeker at pick No. 230

Buffalo Bills select OL Nick Broeker at pick No. 230

The Buffalo Bills continued to add to the interior of their offensive line at the 2023 NFL draft, even late.

With the No. 230 selection in the seventh and final round of the draft, the Bills added Ole Miss offensive lineman Nick Broeker.

The 230th pick was the one Buffalo acquired via the Houston Texans. The Bills traded back from No. 205 and added a 2024 sixth-round selection in the deal as well.

Like many in Buffalo before him, Broeker offers some position versatility. He played both guard and tackle at Ole Miss. Broeker profiles more likely to play on the inside.

In 2022, Pro Football Focus graded Broeker a 65.2 overall mark. Broeker also earned a RAS (relative athletic score) of 8.23 out of 10, pre-draft.

Broeker is the fourth selection of a player on offense for the Bills at the 2023 draft out of their five total picks made thus far (one remaining).

With the additions Buffalo has already made along their offensive line this offseason, Broeker has an uphill climb to make the team’s roster in training camp.

In free agency, the Bills signed Conner McGovern and David Edwards. In the second round of this year’s draft, Buffalo nabbed lineman O’Cyrus Torrence.

The most-likely scenario is a spot on the Bills’ 2023 practice squad for Broeker.
