Arkansas coach Sam Pittman knows the bulk of his roster heading into the summer. Just not all of it.
With scholarships left to give, Pittman and his staff remain active in the transfer portal. Wednesday and Thursday alone, the Razorbacks are expected to host a pair of players who could be inserted quickly into the lineup.
Former Louisiana Tech defensive lineman Keivie Rose will be in Fayetteville first, followed by former Louisville tight end Francis Sherman.
Rose was especially good last year for the Bulldogs. He earned All-Conference USA honors with 24 tackles, including four for loss, playing primarily as a run stuffer in the middle of the line. He would have one year of eligibility remaining.
Sherman played two seasons at Louisville but was never a big part of the offense, making just one catch for 13 yards last year. A native of Ohio, Sherman originally went to Louisville as a walk-on, but earned a scholarship just before the season began last year.
Rose would likely find himself in a four-way battle at defensive tackle with Taurean Carter, Cameron Ball and Eric Gregory. Sherman would probably be the fourth or fifth tight end.
