A former Nebraska Cornusker and current XFL player has received his second invite to an NFL teams camp. Freedom Akinmoladun has been invited to camp with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Akinmoladun played for the Cornhuskers from 2014-18, recording 106 tackles and 12 sacks for his college career. The lineman signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent after he was not selected in the 2019 NFL draft.
Last season Akinmoladun played in the USFL for the Philadelphia Stars. In 10 games in the USFL, he recorded 23 combined tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks. In 10 games for the BattleHawks, he recorded 14 tackles and one sack.
This is Akinmoladun’s second NFL camp invite this month. Back on May 5th he was invited to Miami Dolphins minicamp.
