Players to watch from the Bills:
Josh Allen: The Bills quarterback leads the NFL in total touchdowns with 33 (24 passing, nine rushing), is third in passing yards with 3,215 and has a top 10 completion percentage. Allen has proven that he can dominate defenses on the ground and through the air.
Stefon Diggs: In his ninth season in the NFL, Diggs is on track to have one of his most productive seasons. With eight touchdowns (second-most in NFL) and 969 yards (sixth-most) through 12 games, Diggs has been a staple of the Bills offense and Allen’s favorite target.
James Cook: The second-year running back is eighth in yards per attempt with 4.8, averaging 60.9 yards per game with the seventh-highest success percentage (54.9). In addition to his 731 rushing yards, Cook has added 308 receiving yards and three total touchdowns.
Dion Dawkins: While his off-field actions resulted in his second consecutive Walter Payton Man of the Year nomination, Dion Dawkins’ play on the field has been Pro Bowl-worthy. Dawkins’ pass block win rate is a whopping 94 percent, the second highest rate in the league. In his seventh year in the league, Dawkins continues to be one of the best pass-blocking left tackles in the game.
Ed Oliver: With six sacks and 40 total tackles, Oliver has been an anchor of the Bills defense. In a position that typically sees rotation throughout the game, Oliver played 91 percent of the Bills’ snaps against the Eagles. Oliver draws a double team on 56 percent of snaps and has a win rate of 15 percent (ninth in the NFL). He has the third-highest run stop win rate at 46 percent.
Leonard Floyd: The offseason signing of Floyd, who spent the last four seasons with the L.A. Rams, has proven to be a success as the eight-year veteran leads the Bills in sacks with 9.5, which is good for the 11th-most in the NFL.
