Breaking Down December 18th's XFL Letters Of Intent Signings

It’s been a busy offseason for the XFL, with hundreds of athletes signing Letters Of Intent to play with the league next season.

While these LOI’s aren’t official contracts, one would expect to see a good handful of these names in training camp. Let’s take a look at who each team picked up, and their potential impact in 2024.

Arlington Renegades

DB Cameron Brown | Ohio State

The Arlington Renegades add some more depth in the secondary, picking up Cameron Brown out of Ohio State.

Brown played for Ohio State for five years, making a major impact down the stretch of his career. Across his final two seasons, Cameron posted 39 tackles and an interception, starting in 13 of his last 18 games.

After a stint with the Los Angeles Chargers this past NFL training camp, Brown now looks to kickstart his professional career with the Renegades.

DB Jared Mayden | Alabama

Jared Mayden had a tremendous senior season at Alabama, one that garnered him quite a bit of NFL interest. Mayden racked up 59 tackles and four interceptions in 2019, starting in 11 of 12 games played.

From there, Jared spent time with a couple NFL organizations. He played in four games with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021, totaling six tackles.

Mayden has also had opportunities with the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills, but has been a free agent for the past few months.

Houston Roughnecks
