UFL Expected To Reveal Team Locations During College Gameday

Dave Meltzer concerned with Vince McMahon's working habits

Earlier today the USFL and XFL officially announced they were joining forces as the United Football League (UFL). The big news came during a segment on FOX’s NFL Sunday pregame programming featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Dany Garcia.

During the segmeny they not only revealed UFL as the league name, but also announced that the opening matchup would feature the Arlington Renegades and Birmingham Stallions on March 30th.

Johnson has breifly mentioned that team locations would be announced on ESPN’s College Gameday on New Year. There’s been so many questions around which teams the new league will adopt, but it looks like the wait isn’t much longer.

The USFL and XFL social accounts just shared that more news will indeed be coming during tomorrow’s College Gameday broadcast, which starts at 10am ET.

While the leagues have not announced the eight franchises yet, the USFLPA confirmed to players which USFL teams were safe. In addition, XFL players were informed of the situation on their end.
