Interest in Buffalo Bills linebackers coach Bobby Babich continues to grow.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Babich is set to interview with the Green Bay Packers relating to their vacant defensive coordinator position.

Recently, Babich did the same with the New York Giants.

Following the end of the Packers’ 2023 season, Green Bay fired defensive coordinator Joe Barry. Per Packers Wire, Green Bay has interviewed at least four different candidates so far.

Babich, 40, has worked on Sean McDermott’s coaching staff as a defensive assistant. Babich came to Buffalo with his father, Bob, in 2017. The elder Babich coached linebackers for five seasons in Buffalo. He retired after the 2021 season.

Currently the Bills do not have a defensive coordinator in place as McDermott served in that role last season. However, the team has begun interview candidates to potentially have another person in place for next season.

It remains to be seen if McDermott would give up play-calling duties in such a scenario. Because of that, even an internal candidate, such as Babich, could end up leaving Buffalo if another team offered him that opportunity.

Bills Wire will continue to provide coaching staff updates throughout the offseason.
