Things To Know About Ryan Grubb

Grubb began his collegiate coaching career at South Dakota State in 2005 as running backs coach. After being moved to wide receivers coach in 2006, Grubb joined the University of Sioux Falls as run game coordinator and offensive line coach under Kalen DeBoer. The pair would work together from 2007-2013 to help bring the Cougars two NAIA championships, as Grubb was elevated to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2010.

DeBoer would take his talents up to the FBS level as head coach of Eastern Michigan University in 2014, where Grubb would join him as offensive line coach (2014-2016). Grubb followed DeBoer to his next stop at Fresno State University in 2017, rising from run game coordinator and offensive line coach, to assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach by 2021. That year, DeBoer moved north from California to the Pacific Northwest, taking over as head coach of the University of Washington. Grubb joined the Huskies’ staff as assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, retaining the position for two seasons.
