With UFL training camp getting underway, the Arlington Renegades have seemingly made another major addition: TE Sal Cannella is back in the building with the team. With the social media teams in full swing in Arlington, the Renegades account posted a video that included Sal exiting the bus with the squad.
It appears that TE Sal Cannella is back with the @XFLRenegades, as he was seen coming off the bus with the team (h/t @ThornPFN).

A source within the league confirmed that Cannella is in Arlington for Training Camp, and will be re-signing with the Renegades.
Obviously, this is huge news for the organization. Sal Cannella has consistently been a top tight end in the spring football scene, dating back to The Spring League in 2020 with the Generals. He won the Championship that year alongside QB Bryan Scott.
In 2022, Sal joined the USFL and was a part of a talented New Orleans Breakers squad, one that made it to the postseason. Cannella earned All-USFL honors with 368 receiving yards and two touchdowns. In their playoff loss, he posted a whopping 154 yards.

Following the USFL season, Cannella had an NFL stint with the Green Bay Packers. He was ultimately released at the end of preseason.
