The Broncos’ schedule will soon be here.
The NFL schedule will be released in May, and the Broncos will learn when they’ll play the 17 games on their 2024 slate.
But why wait? Ahead of the official announcement, I’m taking my annual guess at how the Broncos’ schedule will shape up.
A year ago, I connected on three of the 17 games, as I successfully predicted when the Broncos would travel to Chicago and Las Vegas and when the team would host the Chargers.
Since starting the exercise in 2020, my high mark was predicting four games correctly in 2022.
Let’s see if we can beat that mark.
As a reminder, the Broncos will host the Browns, Steelers, Falcons, Panthers, Colts, Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders. They’ll visit the Ravens, Bengals, Buccaneers, Saints, Seahawks, Jets, Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders.
Week 1: Broncos vs. Steelers — “Monday Night Football”
Two years ago, I thought a trip to Seattle was too obvious for Week 1, and I predicted a different matchup. Not going to make that mistake again.
Week 2: Broncos vs. Chiefs
The Broncos snapped the streak last season. They’ll quickly have a chance to add another win against the defending champs.
Week 3: Broncos at Bengals
The last time the Broncos played in Cincinnati in September, Trevor Siemian threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns.
Another early season matchup between the Broncos and Jets. This time, each team has a different QB under center.
Week 5: Broncos vs. Browns
Should be a show between Alabama products Pat Surtain II and Jerry Jeudy.
Week 6: Broncos at Saints — “Thursday Night Football”
HC Sean Payton returns to New Orleans in prime time.
Week 7: Broncos vs. Chargers
Payton and the Broncos will see Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers for the first time.
