The Big Ten Conference and FOX Sports announced today that two of Washington’s football games this coming season – a road game at Rutgers and a home contest vs. UCLA – have been selected for Friday evening broadcasts, which will both air on FOX-TV.
Last November, when the conference announced the 2024 schedule, it noted that some games would be selected for Fridays at a later date. Today, the conference announced that the Huskies will take on Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J., on Friday, Sept. 27, one day earlier than initially announced, at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.
Later in the year, Washington’s final home game of the season vs. UCLA, will be played on Friday, Nov. 15, also the day before originally scheduled, kicking off at 6:00 p.m. PT.
The Huskies, who will be moving into the Big Ten Conference over the summer, face an action-packed schedule in 2024. The Huskies open the fall at home vs. Weber State (Aug. 31) and Eastern Michigan (Sept. 7) before taking on Washington State in the Apple Cup, Sept. 14 at Lumen Field.
On Sept. 21, Washington hosts it first Big Ten Conference game, as Northwestern makes a visit to Husky Stadium. After the Sept. 27 game at Rutgers, the Dawgs return home for a CFP Championship Game rematch with Michigan Oct. 5 on Montlake.That game is followed by a road game at Iowa on Oct. 12 and, after an off week, a trip to Indiana on Oct. 26.
The final month of the regular season begins with a visit from USC to Seattle on Nov. 2, followed by a trip to Penn State the following Saturday.
Following the Friday home game vs. UCLA, the Huskies will have 15 days to prepare for a Nov. 30, regular-season finale vs. Oregon in Eugene.
