Maryland Adds Delaware, Towson as Future Non-Conference Football Opponents

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland football program announced updates to its future non-conference schedule, including the additions of home games against Delaware and Towson, it was announced on Thursday.

The Terrapins will host both Towson and Delaware in 2028 with the Tigers making the short trip to College Park on September 2 and the Blue Hens visiting SECU Stadium on September 9. Maryland will again host Towson on Sept. 14, 2030.

The Terps have won four straight games against Delaware in a series that dates back to 1899. The teams haven’t played though since 2008, a 14-7 Maryland win.

Maryland has won all three meetings against Towson, including a 38-6 victory over the Tigers in 2023.

With these additions, Maryland’s non-conference schedule is now finalized through 2028. There is also at least one non-conference game scheduled through 2031.
