Florida football recruiting set to welcome 2025 DB Kaylib Singleton

Florida football recruiting get commitment from DL Jeramiah McCloud

Singleton’s most impressive tool heading into his senior year might be his speed. During the offseason, he runs track for his high school, and Singleton set a new personal best of 10.54-second 100-meter sprint in March. He posted a slightly slower time of 10.89 in the state championship, but anything consistently under 11 seconds translates to good speed on the football field.

“Last year I was hurt, and I was low-key down about that,” he said. “I felt like I prepared a lot for last year, and then ended up getting hurt. I came back this year, and did my job. Worked hard at practice, and it’s starting to show on the track. This year coming up for football, it’s time for the work to show up there.”

Singleton added that being a dual-sport athlete helps him with his stamina in football. He does long-distance training with the track team, which keeps him conditioned for summer workouts.

“I feel like track is way better for you as a football player than doing 7on7,” he said. “Everyone should really get on the track.”
