Chris Simms continued his annual tradition of ranking NFL quarterbacks this offseason and his latest rankings ahead of the 2024 season were recently revealed by NBC Sports.
The Denver Broncos’ quarterback outlook is bleak if you trust Simms’ ranking. There are 40 quarterbacks on the list and Jarrett Stidham is ranked dead last.
Meanwhile, Bo Nix is ranked 29th, which would — in theory — make him the fourth-worst starting quarterback in the NFL. The only rookie ranked lower than Nix on the list is J. J. McCarthy (No. 30).
The list of QBs ranked higher than Nix includes Justin Fields (No. 25), Daniel Jones (No. 23), Derek Carr (No. 22) and — perhaps most notably — Russell Wilson (No. 21). Zach Wilson did not make the top 40.
Nix and Carr are ranked in the bottom half of the league, but the two other starting QBs in the AFC West, Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, are ranked No. 1 and No. 6, respectively. Good luck, Nix.
