The Kansas City Chiefs relied on their defense to punch their ticket to Super Bowl LVIII last season, and defensive lineman George Karlaftis was a key part of their gameplan for the championship game.
Despite being known for his prowess in the pass rush, Karlaftis managed to make his mark on Kansas City’s Super Bowl matchup against the San Francisco 49ers by forcing star running back Christian McCaffrey to fumble in the first quarter.
Now, Karlaftis has his sights set on outright dominance and seems to be primed for a breakout season in Steve Spagnuolo’s defense.
In a post to Twitter on Monday, the Chiefs asked their fans how many sacks they expected Karlaftis to accumulate next season.
Though it can be hard to predict how well a player will perform, many users who responded were confident that he could eclipse his 2023 total.
