The gameday atmospheres are the stuff of legend in college football. If you’ve ever been to a game at a big school, then you know it is simply a different feeling. There’s a certain frenetic energy in the crowd that is almost indescribable, and the noise level is something else. It does help that the biggest stadiums in the country are all college football venues, multiple stadiums currently boasting a capacity of over 100,000. Now, that’s a home field advantage.
The good folks at EA Sports wanted to capture that gameday experience in their upcoming “EA Sports College Football 25” video game, stressing atmosphere as one of the key components of the game. “EA Sports College Football 25” will feature a significant home field advantage, but not all stadiums are created equally.
The developers released a list of the Top 25 Toughest Places to Play on Tuesday. The ranking was created on a number of factors, including historical stats such as home winning percentage, home game attendance, active home winning streaks, team prestige, and “more.”
Here are the Big Ten teams who cracked the top 25 and where they ended up in the rankings.
