Penn State’s all-time record against the Big Ten’s newest members

Penn State’s all-time record against the Big Ten’s newest members

As the calendar flipped from June to July, the Big Ten membership grew by four. July 1 marked the beginning of the new Big Ten welcoming the additions of Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington from the Pac-12 amid the flurry of realignment changes across the nation. Penn State is one of the Big Ten programs to have at least a little bit of history with each of the four newest members of the conference with a handful of regular season meetings and bowl games in the past.

Penn State has faced Oregon, USC, and Washington in bowl games, including the 2017 Fiesta Bowl against the Huskies as the most recent bowl matchup. Penn State has faced Oregon and USC in the Rose Bowl, winning the 1995 Rose Bowl against the Ducks in the most recent meeting between the two programs and losing the 2017 Rose Bowl in an epic offensive matchup against the Trojans in crushing fashion. Penn State has not faced UCLA in over 60 years, but all of that is about to change beginning in 2024.

Penn State will face three of the four new members during the 2024 season. Penn State will host UCLA and Washington this fall. The Nittany Lions will travel to USC. Oregon does not appear on Penn State’s schedule until 2025, when the Ducks are scheduled to visit Penn State for the first time since 1964.

Here is a look at Penn State’s all-time record against each of the Big Ten’s newest members.
