Bills wide receivers named ‘biggest red flag’ for team ahead of 2024

Bills’ Khalil Shakir scored impossible vs. Steelers

The Buffalo Bills have had near wholesale changes in their wide receiver room this offseason.

In no surprise, that has caused some reason for concern.

Because of that, the Bills wideout room was named the team’s “biggest red flag” ahead of the 2024 NFL season by CBS Sports.

Here’s the breakdown:

Bills: The overhauled WR corps

In theory, Buffalo has swapped out one bona fide pass catcher (in this case, Stefon Diggs) for a slew of solid role players: a red zone outlet (Keon Coleman), a utility man (Curtis Samuel) and a speedster (Marquez Valdes-Scantling). Is that really a better supporting cast for Josh Allen?

Diggs is just the start for the Bills, too. Buffalo’s front office did not re-sign Gabriel Davis, Trent Sherfield, and Deonte Harty.

It remains to be seen if the Bills get enough out of this group. However, if Buffalo does, that’s a huge positive consider the rest of the offense looks like a very strong unit… from their franchise QB, to a top-10 offensive line, and a tight end duo many teams would dream of having.
