Broncos Wire’s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at second-year cornerback Art Green, No. 28.
Before the Broncos: Green (6-1, 201 pounds) started his college career with the Hutchinson Blue Dragons, a junior college in Hutchinson, Kansas. After two years at the JUCO level, Green joined the Houston Cougars in 2020. He went on to spend three seasons in Houston, totaling 78 tackles, 12 pass breakups and three interceptions in 34 games.
Broncos tenure: Denver signed Green as an undrafted free agent last spring. After failing to make the 53-man roster as a rookie, Green was signed to the team’s practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster for the Broncos’ season finale but was inactive on game day.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Low. After not appearing in any games last season, Green is likely competing for a spot on the practice squad again this summer. Anything can happen at training camp, but Green will face long odds to make the active roster in 2024.
