For a second straight year, Michigan Panthers DE Levi Bell is headed to the NFL. According to ML Football, Levi has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, with his UFL contract having been terminated yesterday.

Interestingly enough, Bell didn’t play any minutes in the UFL this season. He was signed by Michigan late in the year, after his release from the Seahawks practice squad. Levi was slated to start in week eight, but an injury in warmups caused him to miss that game – and, miss the rest of the season, being placed on the injured reserve list.

Levi Bell had a fascinating story in spring football a year ago. He was one of the Michigan Panthers USFL College Draft picks, and signed with the team a few weeks into the season. Bell ended up serving as one of the top playmakers in that defense, totaling 16 tackles and four sacks in 2023.
This led to an NFL opportunity with the Seattle Seahawks. Levi performed well in preseason, and did enough to sign a practice squad deal – remaining with the team throughout the NFL season.
