The calendar now reads August, which means it’s all systems go for the 2024 college football season.
The move through July, through Big Ten media days and into fall training camps puts the recruiting cycle on the back burner. That is mostly the case with the class of 2025. There remains a flurry of activity every week or so, but the day-in, day-out sprint of visits, commitments and movement is in the past.

That June sprint saw Wisconsin build a 22-player class, highlighted by top-ranked linebacker Mason Posa, offensive tackle Logan Powell and interior offensive lineman Hardy Watts. The group is a strong response after the program’s record-breaking class of 2024 as head coach Luke Fickell continues to build a strong talent base.
Top-end talent is what is required to win in college football in the modern age. That is especially the case in the Big Ten, where an already-loaded conference with Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan just added several premier brands in Oregon, USC, UCLA and Washington. The path to any championship requires defeating a gauntlet of top teams, which will be tough to do without a strong base of recruiting talent.
As the Big Ten enters an all-important 2024 season and the new era of the conference, here is an updated look at its current class of 2025 recruiting rankings:
Blue-Chip Players: 0
