Panthers add safety to the roster on Saturday

Panthers make roster moves, including signing 19 undrafted free agents

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers have added a safety to the secondary.

The team signed Clayton Isbell , former Coastal Carolina defensive back, on Saturday. He will wear number 28 for the Panthers.

Isbell was with the team earlier in the offseason as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL draft. Isbell spent the first three years of his college career at Illinois State, before transferring to Utah. He spent his final year of eligibility at Coastal Carolina. In his final year at Coastal Carolina, Isbell had 89 total tackles, five passes defended, one sack and three interceptions.

In a corresponding move, the club waived/injured tight end Curtis Hodges.

The Panthers are back on the practice field this afternoon, and will return again on Sunday for their third padded practice.
