No need to sound the alarm bells when it comes to rookie defensive lineman Braden Fiske. Fiske ended up causing some concern with an undetermined issue affecting his lower body, but it’s nothing major – though it sounds quite painful.
When asked about Fiske’s current health, Sean McVay revealed Sunday that the rookie is dealing with a blister “the size of his foot.”
“He is one of the toughest guys ever, but he basically had a blister that was the size of his foot, from my understanding. Reggie [Scott] shows me [and] he’s like, ‘He’s got a blister.’ I go, ‘He’s out for a thumb blister?’ No, it was his whole foot. We want to be smart with him because this guy will go, go, go, but then it ends up leading to probably being out for longer. I know you liked that right there. So that was what he had today.”
Nothing too concerning but this will be something to monitor as Fiske endures the physical toll of the NFL for the first time this season. However, it’s doubtful that a blister issue will hold the second-round selection out for long.
