Top 10 single season rushing leaders in Texas A&M history

With the 2024 college football season just weeks away, the Mike Elko era has begun for Texas A&M, as the program’s most successful defensive coordinator since R.C. Slocum’s early coaching career has returned, replacing former head coach Jimbo Fisher after six seasons.

Bringing in nearly 30 players from the transfer portal after inheriting a talented and, most importantly, experienced roster, the Aggies are a team to watch this season while avoiding the likes of Alabama and Ole Miss in the schedule that is much more manageable compared to year’s past with the team stays relatively healthy.

With new offensive coordinator Collin Klein now controlling the offense, the running game has become a bigger emphasis. This is combined with the new offensive line coach Adam Cushing’s impact on improving the Aggies’ offensive line, which was a major weakness last season. Working with a loaded running back room led by Rueben Owens, Le’Veon Moss, and Amari Daniels, expect a much more efficient running attack with plenty of pre-snap motion to confuse every defense.

Looking back at the Aggie running backs who starred for the program, here are the Top 10 single-season Texas A&M rushing leaders ahead of the 2024 season.
