The Los Angeles Chargers today signed outside linebacker Savion Jackson. In a corresponding move, the team waived cornerback Chris Wilcox.
Jackson (first name pronounced SAY-vee-on) spent the offseason with the Chargers after signing as an undrafted free agent in May. In five seasons at North Carolina State (2019-23), he appeared in 48 games, totaling 106 tackles (37 solo), 13 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and a pass defensed. Jackson returned from injury to record a career year for the Wolfpack in 2023, totaling 40 tackles (10 solo) and 2.5 sacks.
