It seems unlikely that the Chiefs will lose a third consecutive game, but I’ve been wrong in both of my previous preseason predictions where I guessed that they would win. I’m going to try something new this week and forecast a loss in the hopes that it was my bad luck that caused the outcomes of Kansas City’s last two games instead of the inherent unpredictability of (mostly) meaningless preseason football.
Trivial though this matchup may be, it’d be awfully nice to see the Chiefs win a game before the regular season kickoff on September 5. If I have to be wrong in a prediction to make that happen, I’ll be proud to wear my failure in accuracy here as a badge of honor.
